Buyers on the Purchase of Eastchester Colonial to Be Featured on HGTV’s “Property Brothers”

Charming Colonial chosen as “dream home” for popular reality TV show’s 100th episode

Eastchester, N.Y. – September 23, 2015 – Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that a recently sold side hall Colonial home in the Town of Eastchester, N.Y. (Scarsdale PO), was chosen to be featured as a “dream home” on an episode of HGTV’s “Property Brothers.” Agnes Seminara-Holzberg, an agent with the firm’s Scarsdale brokerage, was the listing agent for the house and also represented the buyers, who are her cousins, on the purchase of the residence, which was sold at a price of $650,000. Included within this episode, entitled “Competitive Couple is Challenged with a Reno,” was a special celebratory filming to commemorate the show’s 100th episode.  It will be aired this fall.

Property Brothers” is a one-hour reality show in which twin brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott, help homebuyers find, purchase and transform “fixer-uppers” into dream homes, while maintaining a strict budget. Each episode begins with the brothers showcasing a home that includes everything on the future homeowners’ wish list, but above the homebuyers’ budget.  Eventually, the brothers will lead them to homes that are within their target price range, but still have great potential to become their dream home.

The three-bedroom, two and a half-bath home is located in the highly sought after Eastchester neighborhood of Green Knolls. The residence’s interior boasts a fresh coat of paint and refinished wood floors throughout. Rooms include an eat-in, fully equipped kitchen, formal dining room, large living room, den, and master bedroom with en suite bath, a walkout basement and more. A patio overlooking a private and level fenced-in backyard completes the property, which is situated just a short walk from Scarsdale village shops, restaurants, transportation and other town offerings.

“The minute I found out about my cousins’ desire to relocate, I knew this was the home for them,” said Seminara-Holzberg, who appeared in the episode.  “Family is very important to my cousins, so that was one of their considerations when deciding to move to Westchester County, and live close to my three children and me. With a little help from the Property Brothers, the home was beautifully renovated. I look forward to seeing all that the future holds for my cousins and their new home.”

Stay tuned for details on the episode’s HGTV airdate, which is scheduled for the coming fall.
