William Pitt Sotheby's Getting Started with your career

After joining William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty, your first few days will focus on getting you set up on our company systems. We will encourage you to meet with your new manager to determine your business plans and personal marketing goals.

  • Week One: Get Set Up for Business

    Your Office Manager will assist you with the following:
    - Transfer yout license or submit your new application along with other paperwork to our corporate office, so they can set you up for website passwords/logins, personal websites, business cards, anme badges, etc.
    - Contact the local MLS to make sure you experience a seamless transisiton.
    - Set up your email and voice mail.
    - Schedule an appointment for a professional photograph.
    - Schecule an appointment with our senior administrator who will introduce you to "Agent Connect", our company's intranet site.
    - Upload your new listings to more than 25 real estate websites including Yahoo.com, Realtor.com, NYT.com, Trulia.com, and sothebysrealty.com.
    - Create a customized business plan and website strategy to help you develop your business.

  • Week Two: Develop Your Business Presence

    - Create personalized postcard announcements to mail out to names in your spehere of influence.
    Additionally, countless e-cards can be sent out electronically.
    - Upload your personalized mailing list to our robust direct mail and email marketing systems.
    - Create your own individualized website with your photo, professional achievements, differentiations, and links to your listings.
    - Send press releases to all media outlets in your market.

  • On-Going Training:

    - Comprehensive Manager and Agent Training
    - New Agent Training: An intensive 4-day course covering real estate basics including listing presentations, company tools and resources, website, social media, guest speakers and more.
    - Set up your email and voice mail.
    - Tools Training: A 2-day course, offered monthly, covering proprietary tools and resources including social media and marketing.
    - Prospecting and Understanding Luxury Clients on our proprietary Sotheby's Members site.
    - Lunch and Learn: Monthly seminars held in each office, with trainer providing hands-on learning.
    - Business Planning: One-on-one meetings with Manager.
    - Sotheby's International Realty Training Institute (members.sothebysrealty.com)
    - William Pitt Webinars on Social Media, Business Building, Tools Training, etc.
