The Town of Litchfield is the county seat and is located just 55 minutes from Bradley International Airport and 2 hours from New York City. The town is defined by its historic district which includes many pristine and important original 18th century homes that line both North and South Main Streets. There is an abundance of specialty retail shops, art and antique galleries and fine restaurants that line the beautiful Green.
There are numerous equestrian farms as well as agricultural farms in town too. Outdoor enthusiasts will find much to do at the 4000 acre White Memorial Conservation Center including hiking, mountain biking, as well as cross country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. Gardening enthusiasts know that White Flower Farm, widely regarded as a prime source for plant bulbs, is located here too.
In addition to the town of Litchfield, the office also services the local towns of Morris, Bantam, Goshen, Harwinton, Winchester, Colebrook, Norfolk, Bethlehem, Torrington and Watertown. With a diverse housing stock including everything from antique to modern to contemporary, there is something for everyone in Litchfield.
