Global Networking Event 2014

“Trading ethics for success is failure.” These wise words spoken by Chairman, CEO and President of Reology Richard A. Smith filled the room with one of many powerful statements made at this year’s annual Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event held in Miami.  With a total of more than 150,000 agents and 52 countries, this prominent brand holds over 270 years of luxury, quality and longstanding equity.  From September 8th—11th, our William Pitt and Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty agents and senior leadership were able to witness this excellence in person, joining brand representatives from all over the world in respect and appreciation for these high established standards.  Enthusiasm from the event is still in full swing, as attendees returned empowered by the vastness of our global affiliate network, the caliber of our marketing, the strong connection we hold to Sotheby’s renowned auction house, the important market and industry tools that we have, and much more.   Once again, our company is eager and ready to put all gained connections and learned practices to use, and continue the legacy of our brand’s unparalleled success.

The Global Networking Event’s main purpose is to promote new relationships and uphold longstanding ones with other affiliates of the brand.  Our sales associates and team members were able to personally speak with industry professionals from countless countries, as well as listen to motivating speakers including President and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC Phillip A. White, Jr., Chairman, CEO and President of Realogy Holdings Corp. Richard A. Smith, and President and Former Head Coach of the Miami HEAT Pat Riley, who served as the keynote speaker. White discussed our brand’s unprecedented success in the luxury market across the globe, as well as our devotion to continue to expand and maintain top-notch quality and service, while Smith explained current trends in our markets. During his keynote speech, former Miami HEAT coach Pat Riley motivated listeners with his inspiring outlook on success, urging all to mirror the fearless attitudes of his players.  He advocated facing competition head on, and in the process, finding success by thinking beyond any said limits.

A wide range of breakout sessions were also included, covering numerous areas of interest. Discussions highlighted the various tools and services that benefit our clients, tips for developing valuable interaction skills, compelling marketing and sales strategies, top practices for selling ultra high-end properties, and more.  Brad Kimmelman, manager of our Southport brokerage, held his own session in which he reached out to the affluent gay and lesbian community, assuring our brand’s support of this growing demographic.  Whether it was from that white sand and crystal blue Miami water or not, those who attended this networking event returned with glowing enthusiasm and a strong motivation to use these learned philosophies and carry on our brand’s matchless name in the luxury market.
