Berkshire

Now Serving the Berkshires

William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty is thrilled to announce the opening of our first office in Berkshire County, serving the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in one of New England’s most sought-after resort markets. Now those interested in purchasing or selling in this beautiful region of the Northeast can benefit from all that our world-renowned brand has to offer, including the sophistication and global reach of our marketing, the strength of our worldwide affiliate network, and the expertise and exceptional service of our sales professionals.

Given its close proximity to our successful Litchfield Hills business and its convenient accessibility for the many New York and Connecticut clients we have worked with over the years, the Berkshires seemed a natural choice for the strategic expansion of our company. For nearly two centuries the area has served as the pastoral destination of choice for the affluent, including the Vanderbilts and the Morgans, who built grand estates in the region. Today this idyllic second home market remains popular for its scenic beauty and its wide variety of cultural and recreational attractions. These include numerous ski resorts like Ski Butternut, the renowned Tanglewood Music Center with its summer concerts by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the theater performances of Shakespeare & Company and the popular Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, as well as several art museums, historic estates, fine restaurants and exceptional boutique shopping. In addition, the rolling hills and mountain terrain, picturesque rivers and lakes, and wilderness and hiking trails provide an ideal exploring environment for nature enthusiasts.

Our new office is situated right in the heart of all of this, enjoying a central Southern Berkshire County location at 308 Main Street in Great Barrington. Often considered the major cultural hub of the region, this town is close to all of the area’s major amenities, and it was recently named one of America’s Twenty Best Places to Live by Smithsonian Magazine. Our operations in the Berkshires will be led by Carolyn Fugere, who also manages our four Litchfield Hills Sotheby’s International Realty offices. With Carolyn’s help, we have meticulously assembled a true dream team of sales agents to work out of our new office, each with deep knowledge and extensive experience in the region. We are excited about the opening of our Berkshires office, and we look forward to offering our services to old and new clients alike in this important market.
