I am a licensed Real Estate Broker with extensive experience representing both buyers and sellers, during which time I have built lasting, trusting relationships with my clients. As a resident of Westchester since 1979, I have unparalleled knowledge of the Rye, Harrison/Purchase, Rye Brook, Port Chester and White Plains areas and my listings have included some of the most lovely properties throughout this region.

A native New Yorker, I grew up on Long Island, attended the University of Buffalo and obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Hunter College. I met my husband while working as a psychiatric social worker at Metropolitan Hospital. A native of Venezuela, he was an intern at the time. My social work career included a private practice in Caracas. We lived in Venezuela for one year before moving to Rye. On my mother’s side, I have a large family in Toronto, Canada.

Leaving the hectic pace of the urban life behind, we sought to begin a new chapter as a young couple in Westchester County. We wanted to be near the water, so we followed the East River north, and settled in Rye. It’s a great place to live and raise a family.

I discovered that my experience as a clinical social worker would prove invaluable to my career as a real estate agent, as social work provided me with skills that I use daily. I have been a full-time agent since 1986 and take pride in being available and enthusiastic about meeting the needs of my clients. I especially enjoy bringing buyers and sellers to the closing table while making the experience a rewarding one. My love for helping people, combined with my penchant for organization and dedication, translate well into the real estate business.

Having spent many years living and raising my now-grown son and daughter in the area, I am very familiar with the local lifestyle, schools, services, housing market and geography and enjoy sharing my knowledge with newcomers to Westchester County. I love to work with relocation people and I have assembled a very expansive resource book with contact names and numbers of local service providers that was many years in the making. I am happy to give advice to new-comers to the area on whom to call for myriad services, from attorneys to caterers,  babysitters to pet-sitters. I work with both buyers and sellers and notice in recent years an increase in the number of former clients who are now selling and coming to me to help them put their property on the market. In fact, several of my clients are on their second or third move with my assis-tance.

I am a believer of the importance of civic/community involvement and serve as a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, Westchester chapter, and volunteer for My Sisters’ Place in Westchester. I am also an active board member of my synagogue, Temple Israel Center and served on the boards of The Rumsey Hall School in Washington, CT and The Solomon Schechter School of Westchester. I am a former alumni/parent interviewer for The George Washington University.

My manager and I have developed an agent training course for agents new to Sotheby’s. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the industry and helping others learn the tricks of our trade.

I enjoy cooking, entertaining, pampering our pug, Oreo, and as time allows, traveling. I especially enjoy spending quality time with my husband, son, daughter, son-in-law and newest member of the family – our granddaughter.

As for my philosophy in life and work, it’s simple. It’s just be honest. I don’t whitewash anything.  If it’s going to work, it’s going to work.  I welcome the opportunity to offer you my expertise on current market trends. Whether you are buying or selling, I will take the time to answer your questions, familiarize you with the area and guide you through the closing process. I have tons of energy, a passion for real estate and a proven reputation for matching clients with a home to fit their lifestyle.
