She brings a special focus on helping expats navigate the complexities they encounter in searching for a new home when relocating to the United States.

Sara moved to Westchester County from Stockholm, Sweden with her husband and two sons in 2014, during which time she acquired a deep understanding of the nuances associated with finding housing and childcare, as well as all the other practicalities and bureaucratic details one faces when moving to a new country. Sara quickly learned she had to tackle the significant responsibility of adapting to life in a new country, encompassing factors such as introducing her children to a new social environment, developing a new social network of her own, evaluating the differences between countries in everything from school systems to social activities and cultural behaviors, and even important smaller details such as getting a social security card and driver’s license.

Sara realized that she could pass on her knowledge of international relocation to others dealing with similar moves of their own, and decided to transition into real estate, where she partnered with real estate expert Micheline Madorsky. Micheline brings an invaluable background in sales and marketing, and offers tremendous negotiation skills as well as hands-on experience in home renovation, with her many connections with local architects, designers and contractors. The combination of Sara’s Scandinavian perspective, strong social skills and passion for helping families find homes with Micheline’s real estate expertise and great knowledge of Westchester County make for a formidable real estate team—one that can confidently serve as an excellent resource for anyone seeking to buy, sell or rent in Westchester County.

Prior to entering real estate, Sara worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) one of the world’s top auditing firms, where she worked her way up from auditor to corporate finance, gaining skills in financial due diligence and valuation. She also worked for Attendo, one of Sweden’s leading healthcare companies, as a business controller in charge of financial analysis, planning and budgeting of the region’s largest combined districts.

Sara has a master’s degree in business and finance from Uppsala University, a top-rated European University in Sweden, and also completed an international exchange program in finance and management at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She studied English in Oxford and London in the United Kingdom.

Today Sara lives in Harrison, New York, where her sons attend Harrison Avenue Elementary School and Harrison Children’s Center.

Sara is fluent in English and Swedish and communicates comfortably in both Norwegian and Danish. She can also speak basic German.
