I love where I live; it’s as simple as that.  The ability to share my love of the shoreline and all that greater New Haven County has to offer is why I love what I do.  I have a degree in Marketing & Communications from Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA, along with 25 years’ sales experience in direct marketing, consumer and inside sales.   As a full time Realtor, I am a highly dedicated professional and will consistently go the extra mile for my clients in order to help them buy or sell their home...

My family has spent our summers on the shoreline community of Mulberry Point since the 1980’s, and when the opportunity presented itself in 2000 to move from New Jersey to Guilford, we packed up the family, and never looked back.  My husband John and I have raised our three children through the Guilford school system and have been involved with many community organizations along the way.  I am proud to say that I have been co-president of the Midfielders, Fundraising Chairperson for both the Guilford Soccerfest Tournament and the GHS Touchdown Club and co-chairperson for the 2012 GHS Project Graduation. I helped initiate a paperless registration and payment system that is still in effect today!  It was through these various organizations that I learned just how special Guilford and its neighboring towns are. To say I am excited to be where I am today would be an understatement.  I look forward to working with you, whether you are looking to sell your home, or if you are arriving new to the Connecticut shoreline.  Let me help you, love where you live.

I service all of New Haven County with a concentration of the shoreline towns including Guilford, Branford, Madison, Clinton and Killingworth.  I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Connecticut Association of Realtors, and the Middlesex Shoreline Association of Realtors.

Testimonials

685 Nortontown Rd The short: Sue was incredible to work with and truly partnered with us to market the property. I choose Sue because of her attention to details about the house before the listing process and because of her genuinely personable disposition ~ a relatable mix of mutual respect, professional and personal friend. Sue was vested and invested in understanding all aspects of the property (from mechanicals to microfibers in the carpeting). Sue worked with me to accentuate the property's low-maintenance functionality while highlighting the special features that made our house a home. Unlike other realtors, Sue inquired with interest and intent, often returning to see how something worked, calling to ensure she was conveying the nature of an architectural feature accurately, etc. Sue knew and understood all of the bells & whistles, upgrades, updates and designs to effectively showcase the intrinsic value of the home, with gusto. Special note: Anyone who is selling, buying and moving knows that this time in your life is when you truly learn who your real friends are...Sue worked like a dog with me to help me pack one day and offered to help wait for a service provider during that dreaded service window "between 12 & 3 PM". Sue has become a dearer friend and someone I would refer, endorse and highly recommend to list, market, showcase and close on their home, and help guide you to your next chapter. I'm thankful to have found Sue and know you will be as well. Good JuJu and Good Luck will en-Sue. ;)

My brother and I had the pleasure of working with Sue Knapp to sell our parents home. Throughout the process Sue was energetic and enthusiastic with potential buyers. She was very creative in finding ways to showcase the property. Buyers paid attention! Sue also kept us updated every step of the way. We really appreciated that since we live in different states and it wasn't easy to coordinate it all. The best part...under contract in 14 days, we received 100% of our asking price and closed within 60 days!! Thanks so much Sue! We will definitely look for you when my husband and I look to downsize and sell our home. Sue Welsh

With great hesitation I agreed to list our house again with a new agency. As a result, our house sold in the first few days, and at asking price. Was it the market, right timing, or the agency? Yes to all, and it was the AGENT, Sue Knapp. I have been in medical sales for thirty years and know the difference between a sales person and a sales consultant. Our agent, Sue Knapp, is a sales consultant. She is a full time agent who invests in her clients and their properties. When selling our house she made it a point to see our house though our eyes. Why did we buy it, what did we love about it, what are the unique features that a buyer should know about? In addition Sue knows the area; she knows the towns and their neighborhoods. As mother of three and an active member of the community, she can speak to prospective buyers as a neighbor and friend. Schools, sports, activities, where to get the best produce, Sue knows, because she has been part of this community for over thirty years. Taking this knowledge, she consulted with prospective buyers so they could see the tangible and intangible aspect of our property, neighborhood, and town. A sales professional listens more than they talk. What that means is that it is more important to understand the customer’s needs and wants than to tell them what you want to sell. Sue is a professional, she listens to her customers and fulfills their needs and I highly recommend Sue Knapp as a real estate sales professional who can get it done.
