William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Agents Host “An Autumn Afternoon in Westport”

Westport, Conn. – October 13, 2014 William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Westport agents Cynthia Melchiorri and Susan Vanech recently hosted an open house event entitled “An Autumn Afternoon in Westport” on Sunday, October 12 from 12-4 PM.  Invited guests were offered a home-cooked dinner and wine from the Tuscan-inspired wine cellar of The Whitehead Estate located at 87 Maple Avenue in Westport, Conn.

Situated on nearly 2.5 acres, this 5,253 square-foot home offers a European spirit with a distinct style and charm.  Built in 1870, the residence maintains its integrity and original defining character.  At the event, guests were welcomed by Italian opera sounding over the property and aromas from the Tuscan menu presented by Chef Pietro Scotti, in the gourmet kitchen. Guests strolled the property, Promenade and patio before entering the residence where they were greeted and guided through the elegant home. Upon entering the solarium great room with Palladian windows and stone floor, in addition to a Tuscan-inspired wine cellar and dining salon, guests enjoyed fine wines while becoming acquainted with this European-inspired residence.

“The intrinsic nature and essence of a home is its true value,” said Melchiorri. “We understand its importance when introducing a property to a buyer.  The afternoon event, in addition to others we have hosted, focused on the true essence of the home and offered an authentic experience for those who attended.  The audience represented interested buyers, homeowners curious about our services and agents from Westport, other Connecticut regions and New York. We were thrilled with turnout, comments and interest.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect autumn afternoon,” said Vanech.  “The afternoon was a great success, and we look forward to creating many more enjoyable and strategic marketing events for our clients in the future.”
