William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Lists Grassy Plains New Construction Properties

The Reserve at Poplar Plains is first development of its kind in Westport

Westport, Conn. – March 11, 2014 – Several new construction properties in the new Westport development known as both Grassy Plains and the Reserve at Poplar Plains are the exclusive listings of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, the firm has announced. The company currently has listed five of the development’s total of 13 homes. Westport agents Joan Wright and Jeri Kelley have the listings.

The planned unit development (PUD) community, the first of its kind in Westport, lies on 33 acres of woodlands, 22 of which are protected. The cul-de-sac location, close to downtown Westport, the Metro-North train station and the town’s new state-of-the-art YMCA facility, is the last large parcel of untouched land in Westport. Of the 13 homes, 10 are currently under construction by Wright Building Company, a custom builder of high-end homes with 28 years of experience throughout Fairfield County, Conn. and Westchester County, N.Y.

Grassy Plains is a common interest community so that each resident owns a share of the common areas and maintenance such as lawn care and snow plowing is included. As the homes are still under construction, owners will have the opportunity to work with the builder on finishes and personal touches.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to market these high-quality homes and the truly carefree lifestyle that they have to offer,” said Joan Wright. “Each of these fabulous new construction residences is impeccably finished, energy efficient, architecturally designed and outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances. In addition, the beautiful grounds enjoy one of the most convenient locations in Westport.”

The firm’s current listings in the development include 27 and 34 Grassy Plains Road, offered at $1,450,000 and $1,475,000, respectively. Both homes have four bedrooms with walk-in closets as well as four and a half baths with custom vanities and tile work. 29 and 31 Grassy Plains Road, also listed by the firm, have accepted offers with completion scheduled for May and August. All homes include a custom kitchen with Viking appliances, two fireplaces and a full basement.
