Stamford, Conn. (April 28, 2014) —William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that the firm was the primary sponsor of the Stamford Lions Club’s charity basketball game, which raised money for the Stamford Public Schools.
The game featured professional basketball team the Harlem Wizards versus the Lion Tamers, a group of teachers and principals from Stamford schools, and was held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Westville High School. The goal of the event was to raise enough funds for an eye-screening device for Stamford Public Schools.
The Stamford Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization, dedicated to meeting the needs of the local communities where they operate. The organization is known for fighting blindness in addition to being involved in other humanitarian projects.
“We are proud to offer our support to the Stamford Lions Club, which meets a variety of needs in the Stamford community,” said Paul Breunich, President and Chief Executive Officer of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. “The Lions Clubs organization has an important mission to fulfill locally as well as across the world through its 45,000 member clubs, and we are happy to play participate.”
