William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Ridgefield Office Gives Back to the Community for the Holiday Season

Team members and sales agents support local holiday charities including the Evelyn C. Peeler Children’s Holiday Gift Fund and the 16th Biennial Tree Festival

Ridgefield, Conn. (December 10, 2015) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm’s Ridgefield brokerage recently supported the Evelyn C. Peeler Children’s Holiday Gift Fund, as well as participated in the 16th Biennial Tree Festival at the Ridgefield Community Center, where team members won a third place ribbon for their decorated tree. All proceeds from the event benefitted the Ridgefield Community Center, which provides various resources to the town, its citizens and organizations.

The Evelyn C. Peeler Children’s Holiday Gift Fund is an all-volunteer organization that is spearheaded by the Ridgefield Clergy Association and the First Congregational Church in Ridgefield. Through the fund, which is largely dependent upon local residents’ donations, children receive gifts of new clothing, often a winter coat, boots and accessories. The families also receive food certificates to guarantee holiday meals. William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Ridgefield office helped five local families by donating to the fund.

At the 16th Biennial Tree Festival, the brokerage participants won a third place ribbon for their creatively decorated tree. The event was held at the Ridgefield Community Center, which is located at the Lounsbury House. The historic building was transformed into a holiday wonderland, adorned with festive decorations that were for sale, and an array of decorated, competing Christmas trees. A local holiday boutique also featured unique gifts for purchase, with all proceeds benefitting the community center.

“The holiday season is all about giving back,” said Joe Monaco, manager of the William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Ridgefield brokerage. “I am extremely proud that our office has again taken the initiative to show their genuine care for the Ridgefield community, and with such positive results! The support we’ve received has been tremendous, and I thank everyone for their hard work and generosity.”
