After graduating from New England College, Karen enjoyed a 10-year career on Wall Street at Bankers Trust Company where she worked in the marketing/sales department of the Investment Management Group where she managed assets for institutional pension plans. Karen and her husband, John Mandy, moved to Rye in 1990, where they are raising their three children. Karen has been very involved in the Rye Presbyterian Nursery School, Rye Country Day School and Fordham Preparatory School. Karen has extensive knowledge of the local public school districts as well. Karen has been involved in numerous charitable organizations in both volunteering and fund raising efforts. Karen is active in Jay Heritage Center, Sloane Hospital for Women in Manhattan, Botanical Gardens Bronx, NY and Meals On Wheels in Port Chester, NY. Karen was also very involved in the United Hospital Medical Center prior to its close.
