Smith, were just a few of many powerful ones heard at this year’s annual Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event held in Miami. Encompassing over 150,000 agents and 52 countries, this great brand leverages over 270 years of luxury, quality and longstanding equity, and this past week, our William Pitt and Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty agents and senior leadership experienced it firsthand as they joined with brand representatives from across the globe to honor these established principles. The energy is still high in the aftermath of the inspiring event, where all became empowered by the reach of our global affiliate network, the sophistication of our marketing, the collaborative relationship we share with the renowned auction house, the meaningful market and industry information that we are armed with, and much more. We are once again ready to utilize the many new connections made and practices learned for a future of even more unprecedented brand success.
The main goal of the Global Networking Event is to provide the opportunity for our agents to forge new relationships and maintain longstanding ones with those in other luxury markets served by our brand. With agents from all over the world attending the event, our team members and sales associates were not only able to personally speak with countless worldly people in the field, but also had the privilege to hear the motivating words of many distinguished individuals, including President and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC Phillip A. White, Jr., Chairman, CEO and President of Realogy Holdings Corp. Richard A. Smith, and President and Former Head Coach of the Miami HEAT Pat Riley, who served as the keynote speaker. White discussed our brand’s unparalleled world-wide presence in the luxury market, as well as our commitment to continue expansion and deliver the best quality and service, while Smith delivered an informative update on our markets. In his keynote speech, former Miami HEAT coach Pat Riley shared his motivational philosophy, encouraging all to follow the mindsets of his fearless players. He advised not to be afraid of colliding with competition, and instead to actively participate in using innovation to ultimately come out on top.
A variety of breakout sessions took place revolving around many areas of interest. Discussions covered the numerous tools and services that benefit our clients, tips for developing more effective interaction skills, compelling marketing and sales strategies, best practices for selling ultra high-end properties, and more. Our very own Southport brokerage manager Brad Kimmelman held a session that focused on reaching out to the affluent gay and lesbian community, ensuring our brand’s ability to connect with this growing demographic. Whether it was from that Miami sun or not, all who attended this networking event came back with radiant excitement and an eagerness to continue our brand’s unparalleled legacy with some truly valuable takeaways.
