The sales associates who work with our brand are empowered by the reach of our global network, the sophistication of our marketing, the collaborative relationship we share with the renowned auction house, the meaningful market and industry information that we arm them with, and much more. It all comes together at our annual Global Networking Event, most recently held in Los Angeles during the first week of June. William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s agents and senior leadership have just returned from the energizing and inspiring event, feeling ready to draw upon the many new connections made and to put into practice the new strategies learned.
A key aspect of the Global Networking Event is the opportunity it provides for our agents to forge new relationships and strengthen longstanding ones with other sales professionals in the worldwide luxury markets served by our brand, establishing important referral sources to help them build their businesses. This time, forty agents from our global network who attended were able to connect and exchange ideas with one another. They also had the chance to catch up on the brand’s marketing strategy for 2013 including Anthology, our robust new listing presentation tool that provides a concise overview of brand attributes via a wholly immersive digital experience, as well as the auction house’s plans for future brand initiatives. Keynote speakers included business author Joe Calloway, real estate expert Stefan Swanepoel, and internationally recognized graffiti artist and author Erik Wahl, who emphasized the importance of taking risks and tapping into inner strengths while delivering the impressive onstage painting performance for which he is known. Updates were also provided by senior leaders from Realogy and Sotheby’s International Realty.
The afternoons were reserved for a variety of breakout sessions for agents and staff to choose to attend according to their specific areas of interest. Discussions covered the numerous tools and services that benefit our clients, tips for developing more effective interaction skills, compelling marketing and sales strategies, best practices for selling ultra high-end properties, and more. During a marketing session in which representatives from several firms discussed proven ways of boosting visibility, Director of Marketing Vin Socci spoke about the importance of a successful web strategy in today’s marketing landscape. All of our agents came home from the event with some truly valuable takeaways, and we are excited to see how they will translate into even greater success for our company and our brand.
