She’s raising her two daughters here, each of whom attend both public and private schools. While also owning an independent bookkeeping business, Gaylen has worked with several local businesses. She is an avid boater and active member of this community.

As a leader in Rowayton, she helped raise $4M to purchase a waterfront parcel of land to add to the Farm Creek preserve, owned by the Norwalk Land Trust. She has served on the board of the Rowayton Beach Association and written grants for Rowayton Elementary School. She also knows the surrounding towns of Darien, New Canaan and greater Norwalk through her involvement in town sports, religious affiliations and arts centers.
