Julia is a trained artist who brings an eye for classic beauty to evaluating fine properties. She was raised in an atmosphere of art auctions, museums and a home filled with art and antiques. Her father owned a gallery in Washington, DC that specialized in 19th and early 20th century art.

After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in alternative medicine Julia moved to New York City to study graphic design at Parsons School of Design. She then spent a year in Florence, Italy, studying Renaissance art history and architecture.

Prior to joining Sotheby’s, she worked for several years at a family-owned specialty food import company learning international business principles. In addition, Julia was an event planner for a variety of educational and philanthropic organizations. The fast-paced, constantly shifting demands of the work honed her focus on detail and passionate drive for excellence.

In her free time Julia enjoys regular meditation practice and creating her own art. Julia is knowledgeable, candid, and supportive. Her true fulfillment comes from helping others gain satisfaction and joy.
