Karen joined William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty following 20 years of creating and activating dynamic marketing and sales campaigns for a variety of clients including The Home Depot, Marvin Windows, Colavita, Chobani, and Dole. Her most influential professional endeavor was at Fine Homebuilding media where she had the pleasure of working with and learning from, the most qualified and talented builders, designers, and craftsmen in the industry.
Karen’s breadth and depth of exposure to the home building industry led her to develop a passion for exceptional homes and home renovation. Her foray into real estate was an inevitable product of this passion and experience. With the urge to use the knowledge she gained from her years of collaboration with professional homebuilders, Karen jumped at the chance to assist her contractor in renovating and updating her own home. A sore back and a few chiropractic visits later, her home renovation was complete and the return on investment paid off with the profitable sale of her house. As a result, Karen decided to leverage her corporate marketing and sales experience, bolstered by her already existing passion for home design and renovation, into a career in real estate.
A lifelong resident of Connecticut, aside from her four-year layover at Pace University in New York to play collegiate softball and obtain a Bachelor of Business degree in marketing, Karen lives in northern Fairfield County with her wife and two daughters. Most mornings you will find Karen walking slowly, coffee in hand, through her vegetable garden, which she lovingly named The Alcatraz Garden (it keeps the varmints out and the plants locked in). She has an addiction to candles, enjoys attending as many concerts as possible, and is regularly dreaming up new home renovation projects.
