Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty Supports Police Force Award Recipient

Larchmont, N.Y. (May 30, 2014) — Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that the firm recently contributed its annual donation to the winner of the police officer of the year award, given by the Larchmont Police Department. This year’s winner was Detective Jonathan Dispenza, and the donation will go directly to the officer and his family.

Jim Whittemore and Paul McCarthy of Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty spearhead the company’s efforts to support the award winner each year. Whittemore and McCarthy joined Dispenza and Chief of Police John G. Poleway at the Larchmont Memorial Day Parade on the day the award was given.

According to the Larchmont police department, the award, known as the Captain Thomas J. Sullivan Award, is granted to an officer for consistently displaying excellent skills, attitude, appearance and performance during the completion of duties. Additional criteria include constantly striving to improve public safety through a professional manner while at the same time furthering positive relations between the department and the community.

“We are proud to salute the 2014 police officer of the year for his significant achievement,” said Whittemore, who has donated to the award winner each year for more than 20 years. “We are always delighted to give back to our local community, and happy to offer our support to the Larchmont Police Department.”
