Market-Leading Connecticut Shoreline Agent Judi Caracausa Joins William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Mystic Brokerage

Mystic, Conn. (August 1, 2023) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that Judi Caracausa, a renowned Broker and community figure in the Mystic and Stonington region of Connecticut, has joined the firm. For nearly three decades, Caracausa has run her own independent agency, Market Realty, LLC located in Historic Downtown Mystic. Carcarausa has consistently achieved the number-one market share in Mystic year after year including year to date in 2023 according to SmartMLS data 1/1/21-7/25/23.

Her reputation as the area’s top-producing broker as well as commercial real estate pioneer and leading condominium expert have helped her forge a larger roster of clients and a prestigious position in the community.

Caracausa has over 37 years of listing and selling experience in Mystic and Stonington, as well as along the Shoreline of Connecticut. Of her many significant accomplishments, she is responsible for handling the sale of the Steamboat Wharf Co., including 49 apartments, 17 commercial storefronts as well as a waterfront hotel and docking. Earlier this year she handled the transaction to sell 17 acres of rare and prime land on Masons Island to be developed into the area’s only new luxury home community, Masons Estates, which will consist of 10 custom home sites.

Caracausa comes from a family of entrepreneurs, founding and running Market Realty, LLC with her sister, Celeste Caracausa, who was her business partner until her passing in November 2022. In 1980, the two along with their mother also founded and operated “The Market” International Food and Gifts located on Noank Road in Mystic.

Judi Caracausa made the decision in 2023 to join William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, citing the brand’s strong reputation for excellence and devotion to client service. “William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty is a company that reflects my values and my level of quality in marketing as well as the caliber of people I want to work with,” Caracausa explained. “It has to be a company I want to wake up with in the morning because I am determined to give my clients the best.”

Following her move, Caracausa looks forward to creating, leading and growing The Market Team based in the same office space as her prior company, Market Realty, LLC, at 28 Cottrell Street in Historic Downtown Mystic. The office is located at The Mystic River Park near the iconic Mystic River Bridge.

“I could not be happier with my decision. I’ll be working with an outstanding group of professionals with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty,” she said. “I am excited to leverage my strengths through the unmatched local and global marketing support of this renowned brand.”

“Judi is a perfect fit with who we are as a brand. She embodies everything we represent in the quality of her service and the way she works with clients,” said Heather Gagnon, New London County Regional Brokerage Manager for William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. “I couldn’t ask for a more professional, kind agent to work for us.”

As she helps William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty expand its presence in the Mystic region, Caracausa will continue to focus on both residential and commercial real estate, with special expertise in condominium developments and second-home sales.

Though Caracausa admits she “eats, drinks and sleeps Mystic” and is “married to real estate,” she still finds time to be an involved community representative. She is a member of the Stonington Harbor Yacht Club and the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, as well as a passionate healthcare advocate and a former Board member of Natchaug Hospital, a facility focused on mental health and addiction treatment.

The owner of three condominiums in Mystic, she is also heavily involved in condominium association activities. In her downtime, Caracausa enjoys boating and live music. She additionally enjoys interior design and staging properties, which has become a unique benefit to her sellers.
