Prez Palmer Joins William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty

Armed Forces veteran brings over 10 years of finance experience to new role

Stratford, Conn. (March 28, 2014) —William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that Armed Forces veteran Prez Palmer has joined the company and will be based in the firm’s Stratford brokerage. Palmer, who entered the real estate industry in October 2013, brings both leadership and finance experience to his new role as a real estate sales professional.

“Prez has experienced tremendous success in every phase of his varied career, from rising rapidly through the ranks of the Army to holding leadership positions in a range of professional development organizations,” said Jerry Ward, Brokerage Manager of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Stratford Brokerage. “His list of accomplishments is long, and his strong background in finance will prove a significant benefit to his clients. He makes an exceptional addition to our team.”

A native of Stratford, Palmer served in the military as a commissioned Officer for approximately ten years. While serving as a Cadet in the Army Reserve Officer Training Program, he also served in the Connecticut Army National Guard and simultaneously pursued his bachelor’s degree at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. There, he was a scholarship recipient of both the General Electric and William Pitt Real Estate Scholars programs.

In his years after graduating with honors he assumed numerous leadership positions in the Army, achieving Captain and serving as Company Commander of a Special Forces training unit at Fort Bragg, N.C.; serving as Comptroller overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom; and serving as Leader of the Camp Arifjan Officer Mentorship Program in Kuwait.

In addition to his real estate career, today Palmer is an adjunct professor of finance at Post University. Currently, he has completed his MBA degree and is working toward a Doctorate of Business Administration degree. He is also developing a budgeting course for Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust to help first-time homebuyers. In his spare time, he is very active in local veterans and masonic organizations, and he is a business coach for SCORE.
