Sotheby’s Home and Allure Harbor Point Partner in Event that Brought Real Estate and Interior Design Together

Stamford, Conn. (November 14, 2019) — On November 6, Allure Harbor Point, a new luxury apartment building in Stamford’s Harbor Point, was the setting for “On Trend: An Evening of Design & Décor.” The event was an opportunity for Sotheby’s International Realty Realtors to invite their clients to view Allure’s luxury model homes as well as to participate in a discussion about interior design trends with industry experts from Sotheby’s Home, an online consignment marketplace specializing in vintage and antique furniture, decorative objects and accessories.

The evening kicked off with a guided tour of Allure’s luxury residences and amenities, including the studio – four-bedroom apartments, gourmet kitchen and fitness center. The tour was led by Allure’s leasing professionals.

The event continued with a cocktail hour, where attendees networked over light refreshments. Welcome introductions were given by Carolyn Fugere, VP of Strategic Growth, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty and Brandon Joy, Allure and Beacon General Manager, Building and Land Technology.

In the main event, Jennifer Matthews, VP of Showroom and Trade Sales and Clare Blasius, AVP of Trade Sales, Sotheby’s Home, discussed the latest trends in home furnishings, including “what’s hot” in colors, fabrics and interior design. The business of the home furnishings online consignment space was also discussed, including how to buy and sell through Sotheby’s Home.

“Interior design and trends in home furnishings is, of course, a subject closely related to our brokerage business,” said Fugere. “It was wonderful for our agents and their clients to hear from some of the finest experts in the industry.”
