Susan Batterton Joins Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty

Agent brings extensive skills and strong work ethic from prior career in education

Larchmont, N.Y. (October 6, 2014) — Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that Susan Batterton, a former Special Education teacher who recently transitioned into real estate, bringing with her a unique skill set, has joined the company as an agent and will be based in the firm’s Larchmont brokerage.

Most recently, Batterton was a sales professional with Weichert Realtors, where she was given special recognition for excellence in the field of real estate after having only been in the industry for a short period. She now brings to Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty a strong track record of completing multiple transactions during her brief time with her previous firm.

As a Special Education teacher working with children experiencing cognitive and emotional difficulties, Batterton built an approach founded upon unrelenting dedication and perseverance, patience, hard work, high energy and enthusiasm, and a positive perspective, all of which she has found to be applicable in her role as a sales agent. Batterton commits herself to working just as diligently to help her buyers and sellers through a process that she acknowledges is one of the most significant they will ever go through, as it involves the handling of their most valuable asset. She has developed a reputation for providing an engaging and enjoyable experience for her clients, and for demonstrating tremendous knowledge of the market area she serves.

“With her unique and varied background, Susan brings an ability to truly connect and build rapport with her clients, while fully dedicating herself to meeting all of their needs and exceeding their expectations,” said Carolyn Fugere, manager of Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty’s Larchmont brokerage. “Client satisfaction is her first priority, and as a result she is quickly making a name for herself as a new agent in Larchmont.”

Batterton has an MA in Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and worked with disabled children in both Westchester County and New York City for 25 years before entering real estate.
