William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty and Lime Rock Drivers Club Partner to Host Great Estates and Exotic Cars Charity Event

Lakeville, Conn. (September 27, 2016) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that the company is partnering with Lime Rock Drivers Club, a Lakeville, Conn.-based exclusive members-only club catering to racing and driving enthusiasts with a passion for high end cars, to host a great estates and exotic cars tour to benefit three charities including SOAR, the Susan B. Anthony Project and the Kent Community Fund.

Participants will begin the tour at Lime Rock Park, home to one of the oldest road racing courses in the country. From there they will be chauffeured to three multi-million dollar estates featured on the tour throughout the Litchfield Hills. At each of the properties, guests will have the opportunity to view a selection of luxurious cars on display while enjoying light refreshments. Following the tour will be a reception at Lime Rock Park with desserts, coffee and a silent auction.

Proceeds from the auction, as well as all funds raised from the $50 admission ticket, will go to SOAR, the Susan B. Anthony Project and the Kent Community Fund. SOAR, standing for “Seek, Originate, Aspire, Reach,” is an educational enrichment program for Salisbury, Conn.’s Central School, providing extra-curricular learning opportunities to students through after-school workshops exposing them to subjects such as music, art, fitness, math, engineering, cooking and science, all taught by local experts. The Susan B. Anthony Project offers crisis services and support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault including counseling and a crisis hotline. The Kent Community Fund is a non-profit organization established to support the Kent, Conn., community by providing several services and programs including confidential emergency grants, and extra support to those facing economic struggles due to illness, job loss or tragic events such as fires or accidents.

The event will be held on the morning of Sunday, October 16, 2016, with admission at 10am, and the reception immediately following. Lime Rock president Skip Barber will be the honorary chairperson for the event.

“All three local charities offer services that are essential to our community. We are thrilled to once again be sponsoring this event, which benefits each important organization,” said Kristine Newell, brokerage manager for William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Litchfield Hills brokerages. “Being able to tour both exotic homes and vintage cars at the same time, while surrounded by Litchfield County’s picturesque New England backdrop, is a truly unique opportunity. I encourage individuals to attend for a memorable experience, and to help contribute to the cause.”
