William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Announces Kristine Newell as Assistant Manager of Litchfield Hills and Berkshires Brokerages

New manager touts the need to shake up the local real estate industry with social media and visual marketing

Litchfield County, Conn. and Berkshires, Mass. (May 21, 2015) —William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that Kristine Newell has joined the company’s management team as Assistant Manager for its five brokerages in the Litchfield Hills and Berkshires. Newell was previously a sales agent based out of the firm’s offices in Washington Depot and Litchfield, Conn. She brings 14 years of experience in residential real estate sales to her new role.

Newell first entered the real estate industry at the age of twenty-four and has been one of Litchfield County’s youngest luxury real estate agents. She brings an enthusiasm for social media as an important vehicle to market properties, and touts the importance of mobile devices to both communicate with clients and sell properties.

“The local real estate landscape is changing, and we need to keep up,” Newell said. “Facebook, Zillow, Instagram and visual marketing are altering the way that people sell homes. My job is to help our agents and clients maximize social media and the internet.”

A consistent Gold Award and Top Agent Award winner with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, Newell specializes in the use of social media, photography and innovative luxury marketing, and will draw upon these strengths to assist agents in providing the highest level of service to buyers and sellers.

“As a lifelong resident of Litchfield County, Kristine has a great familiarity with our market and the communities we serve, which will be a significant asset for our region,” said Matthew Day, brokerage manager for William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Litchfield Hills and Berkshires brokerages.

Newell will work as a non-competing manager. She will be based in the company’s Great Barrington, Mass. and Kent, Lakeville, Litchfield and Washington Depot, Conn., brokerages. She can be reached at KNewell@williampitt.com or 860.459.7797.
