Firm’s Rowayton brokerage set to display artwork of Patricia Conciatori
Rowayton, Conn. – September 26, 2016 – William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm’s Rowayton brokerage will be hosting an artist reception as part of the “Sundays at Sotheby’s” series, a monthly program in which the office welcomes new local art to display in its office. The reception is typically held on the first Sunday of each month. Local artist Patricia Conciatori will introduce her work on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 4-6 PM.
Patti Conciatori was exposed to art at an early age, sketching and painting as a hobby in her in-home art studio. With her mother as an art teacher, and father a former professional photographer, Conciatori was bound to follow suit. She has studied painting with Dana Goodfellow at the Rowayton Arts Center for the past five years, focusing on landscapes and abstract paintings. Her works mainly center on color and texture, and often portray seascapes and coastal themes as a result of her frequent summer visits to Cape Cod. Conciatori’s paintings have been selected and sold at esteemed art shows, including a solo exhibition at the Darien Rowayton Bank. She also has works in several private collections in Cape Cod, Dallas and Austin, Texas, Deer Valley and throughout the Fairfield County area.
“I am so excited to be showcasing my art at Sundays at Sotheby’s,” said Conciatori. “It’s a wonderful event, and the perfect place to share and discuss the meaning and process of my work. I’ve enjoyed being part of the Rowayton art community for a number of years.”
During the upcoming October 2nd reception, which is open to the public, the Rowayton office will showcase a display of Conciatori’s paintings. Conciatori has graciously offered to give 10% of all sales made on night of the event to the Rowayton Arts Center. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will also be served in a casual setting with opportunities to talk with Conciatori and discuss her work.
On the same night, the Rowayton Arts Center will be hosting an artist reception as well. To further contribute to the evening’s festivities, local boutique owner Caren Forbes, who sells clothing, jewelry and accessories at her shop, has agreed to collaborate with the Rowayton brokerage by donating 10% of her sales to the Rowayton Arts Center.
“I’m honored as an art consultant and personal friend of Patti’s, to present her beautiful work, and help organize this month’s event,” said Darien agent Dawn Beaver, who is spearheading the October brokerage artist reception.
