William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Hosts Artist Reception as Part of “Sundays at Sotheby’s” Series

Firm’s Rowayton brokerage set to display work of local photographer Stacey Vukelj

Rowayton, Conn. – July 28, 2015 William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm’s Rowayton brokerage will be hosting an artist reception as part of the “Sundays at Sotheby’s” series, a monthly program in which the office welcomes new local art to display in its office. The reception is typically held on the first Sunday of each month. Local photographer Stacey Vukelj will introduce her work on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 4-6 PM.

Vukelj is a street and travel photographer and resident of New York City. Inspired by the bustling city streets, she focuses on the juxtaposition of the inherent chaos and the bubble of seclusion that countless urban residents create around themselves in this environment. As a result, Vukelj weaves elements of isolation and scale into many of her photographs. She carries these distinct themes and styles through to her travel imagery as well, where captured vast skies and open spaces provide a cohesive feeling to vastly different locations.

During the August 2nd “Sundays at Sotheby’s” artist reception, the Rowayton office will welcome some of Vukelj’s latest work to its walls. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served in a casual setting with opportunities to talk with Vukelj, and discuss her work. All events of the evening are open to the public.

“Our Rowayton brokerage is gearing up for yet another special evening of pure talent and beauty,” said Darien agent Molly Crosland, who spearheads much of the brokerage’s artist series. “Vukelj’s stunning photography will bring a whole new dimension of artwork to our successful ‘Sundays at Sotheby’s’ series. I look forward to celebrating the often overlooked and obscure beauties of the world that are captured so artfully in Vukelj’s work.”
