William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Lists Wilton Estate to be Featured on HGTV’s “Property Brothers”

Updated Colonial home chosen as “dream home” on popular reality TV show

Wilton, Conn. – March 10, 2015 – William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realtyannounced today that the firm has listed an updated Colonial home in the town of Wilton, Conn., that has been chosen to be featured as a “dream home” on an episode of HGTV’s “Property Brothers.” The residence, which is represented by Southport agent Lois Lipow and offered at $1,139,000, was recently filmed for an episode set to air this coming fall.

Property Brothers” is a one hour reality show in which twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott help home buyers find, purchase and transform “fixer-uppers” into dream homes, while maintaining a strict budget.  Each episode begins with the brothers showcasing a home that features everything on the future homeowner’s wish-list, eventually leading them to homes that are more in their price range, but still have great potential to become their dream home.

This updated, 5,000 square-foot residence, originally constructed in 1983, offers numerous features and characteristics that fit the criteria for the show. On the main level, a gourmet, eat-in kitchen opens to a spacious family room complete with a wet bar and fireplace.  The home also boasts a large, formal dining room and brand-new wraparound deck that overlooks a large, level backyard.  The property’s outdoor space includes an expansive fieldstone patio, a waterproof ceiling, as well as large dining and seating areas with a fan and chandelier. The home’s master suite features a fireplace, balcony and walk-in closet in addition to a spacious spa-like bathroom, which contains a sauna.

“I can see why the show’s representatives asked me to tour this beautiful home,” said Lipow.  “The residence is perfect for entertaining, containing exquisite one-of-a-kind indoor and outdoor features and amenities in an undoubtedly sleek and stylish atmosphere.  It’s no wonder the home’s characteristics fit the show participants’ ‘dream home’ criteria.”
