Company moves Guilford operations into modernized historic building
Guilford, Conn. (October 28, 2014) —William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that the firm has moved its Guilford brokerage into a newly reconstituted and modernized building situated on the Guilford Green. The new office is located at 102B Broad Street.
The historic building, constructed circa 1842 and expanded and remodeled several times in the years since, was recently fully revamped by Joseph Bergin Architect P.C. The architectural firm aimed to retain as much of the original building as possible in the renovation, echoing the architectural details of neighboring buildings, while helping it to better serve as a gateway to the Guilford Green.
The Guilford brokerage now enjoys a location among all of the Green’s amenities, including its popular restaurants, boutique shops and events, from art exhibits and crafts shows to concerts and more. In addition, the Green features the third largest collection of historical homes in New England, spanning the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
“We are very pleased to move into a more efficient space with such wonderful visibility right at the hub of the Guilford Green,” said Kathy Mitchell, brokerage manager of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Guilford brokerage. “The office is inviting, light and bright, and decorated with a modern flair that is very different from the quintessential, traditional New England style that is usually found. All of our agents are very excited about the move.”
