Darien, Conn. (June 7, 2016) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm once again served as a sponsor of the Darien House Tour. This annual community event, entitled Homes with Heart, is presented by the First Congregational Church of Darien to support local charitable organizations that serve the youth, elderly and disadvantaged.
Featured homes spanned the centuries from 1765 to 2016. Darien agent Molly O’Brien Watkins’ listing at 364 Hollow Tree Ridge Road, a custom contemporary residence designed by Brooklyn-based su11 architecture & design, and built by HOBI award-winning Prutting & Company of New Canaan, was one of the properties included on the tour.
This transformed 6,800+ square-foot contemporary residence offers a thoughtful re-design focusing on entertaining and hospitality. The five-bedroom, four full and two half-bath home, which lies on nearly three acres of private land overlooking a pond, contains ample open space, natural materials and the expansive use of glass embracing the property’s outdoor surroundings and scenic views.
In addition to featuring a listing on the tour, a number of the firm’s Darien agents also volunteered during the event, which took place on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Following the house tour, a celebration was held on June 3rd, offering participants and volunteers food, drinks, music, as well as a silent auction to benefit the cause.
“I am extremely proud of our Darien agents who participated in this wonderful community event,” said Lynley Middleberg, manager of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Darien brokerage. “The Darien House Tour tradition supports so many important non-profits around town, and I am thrilled that we were able to contribute.”
