Rowayton, Conn. (April 30, 2018) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm’s Rowayton brokerage will be hosting an artist reception as part of the “Sunday’s at Sotheby’s” series, a monthly program in which the office welcomes new art to display in its office. The reception is typically held on the first Sunday of each month. Artist David Morico will introduce his work on Sunday, May 6th from 4-6 p.m.

Morico is best known for his Pop-art paintings, which take inspiration from a number of different everyday items from the 20th century. Morico will also be the featured artist of the 56th Annual CCNS Art Show, which is a charity fundraiser that benefits a Rowayton pre-school, and Sunday’s reception will be an opportunity for art lovers the preview Morico’s work ahead of the CCNS Show.

During the May 6th reception, which is open to the public, the Rowayton office will showcase a display of Morico’s paintings. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will also be served in a casual setting with opportunities to talk with Morico and discuss his work.  The art will be on display all month.

“We’ve been making some improvements to our office, so this is the first “Sunday’s at Sotheby’s” after we took a brief hiatus,” said Darien/Rowayton agent Molly Crosland, who spearheads many of the brokerage’s artist series. “We could not think of a better way to kick off our first show since our re-opening. David’s paintings are excellent and we are really excited to host him and his tremendous artwork.”
