The Sotheby’s International Realty brand is renowned for staying on the cutting edge in both our marketing and the support we provide to our agents. Realogy shares this same approach, drawing upon the most innovative advancements in technology in order to help sales associates maintain their positions as the best in the industry. Taking this principle a step further, Realogy recently hosted a competition inviting companies to showcase their own emerging technology concepts and products before an invitation-only audience of Realogy executives and real estate industry thought leaders from numerous franchises. This June, the global leader in real estate franchising, and provider of real estate brokerage, relocation and settlement services, held the inaugural Realogy FWD Innovation Summit, giving 15 firms out of the 100 that applied a chance to present their new ideas and win a $25,000 cash prize.
William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty is proud that our own Director of Marketing, Vincent Socci, sat among the 150 attending real estate leaders, a group that also included representatives from six other Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate firms. After a panel of judges selected the three finalists, Socci and his colleagues voted for the winning company. The New York City-based firm Floored, specializing in interactive 3D models of all property types, ended up walking away with the grand prize.
“I was honored to be invited to participate in this innovative event, and truly impressed by the level of talent demonstrated by these companies as well as the forward-thinking ideas they had to share,” said Socci. “I am excited about the continuing dialogue that we will have with these firms and the prospect of incorporating their unique and valuable technological offerings into our programs and services.”
In addition to Floored, notable companies that had the opportunity to introduce their products included runner-up HomeZada, which has developed software to assist individuals with organizing and maintaining their homes, and third-place finalist BuyerMLS, which provides real estate agents with a real-time buyer marketplace. HomeLight, Keyzio, MyCityWay, RealScout, Updater, Relocality and Storefront also presented at the event, providing products meeting a variety of different needs. The Realogy FWD Innovation Summit was an occasion for making new connections and illuminating Realogy’s senior leaders with new perspectives and solutions.
