The Hampshire County city of Easthampton, home to 16,200 residents, is situated on the southeastern portion of the Pioneer Valley.The city’s downtown hub has undergone a demographic shift in recent years with the influx of artists and young people, resulting in exciting, new arts and cultural opportunities.

Community is at the heart of this lively city which encompasses 13.6 square miles. Every summer Easthampton’s Millside Park comes alive with a festival featuring local and international music, food and art. A free Art Walk, hosted by Easthampton City Arts+, also takes place monthly throughout the city.

One of Easthampton’s popular points of interest is the Mount Tom State Reservation which extends into the eastern portion of the city and offers spectacular views of the Pioneer Valley. A 110-mile trail traverses the mountain, offering sweeping vistas and diverse ecosystems. Outdoor enthusiasts also find delight in the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, which is split between neighboring Northampton, as well as a rail trail bicycle path. Both are situated nearby several conservation areas owned by the local land trust.

Formerly a mill town, many of Easthampton’s old factories have a new purpose. The historic fire station has been transformed into a workshop by a local furniture maker, and other mill buildings serve as space for artists and craftspeople as well as for live performances and visual arts space.
