BACKGROUND. After a successful career in the Fashion and Retail industries (Armani & The Gap) I learned that distinctive service is the key to success. Distinctive service means listening to the customer and working passionately and tirelessly to ensure that all angles are covered, not simply reacting to, but anticipating the customer’s needs. It means utilizing a team of people so that each property we list will be seen in the best light. For buyers, it means finding the home that fulfills their requirements within the price range they have established. I also learned the power of good merchandising: presenting a product to the right market, attractively displayed. I look at our website as a storefront and I am dedicated to having each of my listings represented most advantageously with excellent photography and engaging copy.

TRACK RECORD. I have consistently been a top producing agent. I had a remarkable 2016. My sales were up 49% in a market that grew by only 10%. I was the top producing William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty agent in Litchfield County.  Among all agents in Litchfield County, I was the #1 agent representing the buyer and #2 representing the seller in terms of dollar sales.

TEAM APPROACH.  I am a very good juggler of projects but recognize that I am not expert in every aspect of what is required. My strength is multiplied by the backing of the power of the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand and the human resources that are available to me at William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. The resources are customized for each listing, based on the needs of that property. For example, I can call on people who are expert in architectural significance or land usage. The public relations department secures key editorial placements. Brochures are carefully designed and written, Professional photography. Our administrative support staff ensures timely online presence. Team agents provide backing so we never miss a showing. Further, I will outsource when needed to arrange for stagers, designers, or contractors.

PERSONAL. After spending weekends in Litchfield County while working and living in Manhattan I decided to make Kent my full time residence in 2003. I have embraced my life here, becoming an active member of the community and owning and operating the award winning Inn at Kent Falls.

Testimonials

Ira helped us buy a house in Connecticut sight unseen from California in the middle of a pandemic. We bought our house during a frenzied market with houses selling in a day with multiple offers. Ira gave us sage advice on winning strategies to get the house. He helped us navigate a difficult seller and provided above and beyond support during a challenging time. Ira is extremely customer-focused and has a great team. Steve Pener assisted with FaceTime viewings and had valuable insights on neighborhoods and properties. After we closed, Ira continued to offer support and counsel as we settled in to the area. We highly recommend Ira and his team to any buyer or seller wanting a great experience.

Michael Hansen and David Smyton

Ira Goldspiel has always exceeded our expectations, whether we have been buying or selling. He has a good eye for value and beauty and gives excellent, honest advice on everything from bidding strategies to renovation. His knowledge of the Litchfield County market is detailed and broad. Plus, he is fun to work with! When we met Ira, we immediately knew we had found not only the right realtor for us, but a friend.

Rachael Combe

We couldn't have asked for a better real estate professional to help us purchase our wonderful new home in Roxbury, CT. From the moment we met Ira, we knew we were in good hands. Confident, easy going, patient, and good humored, Ira made what can often be a very difficult process, seamless and actually enjoyable. We trusted him implicitly. I have never worked with another real estate agent who comes close to the likes of Ira Goldspiel. He is simply the best!

Thomas Fazio

If you are thinking of buying a home there is no question working with Ira is the best. It's not only a pleasure, Ira also ensures it's a confident experience. You gain top of the line experience, honesty, and valuable perspective as he cares about you as a client. Ira is incredibly knowledgable about the area, activities that you may enjoy nearby, and gives his all during the real estate experience. A plus is his intuition in knowing how to expand your horizons on what may be possible for homes you'd like. You receive a wealth of experience and reliable business practices. Wouldn't recommend anyone else!

Eama Andrews

Ira represented us when we sold our prior home and when we bought our new home. He was extraordinary. He was professional, organized, warm and friendly. We felt very secure in his hands. It was the best real estate transaction experiences which we have had. I would recommend him with the highest accolades.

Francis O'brien

I cannot say enough good things about Ira. He’s the superstar of Litchfield County real estate and yet he always gave me — a first-time buyer with a limited budget — all the attention, honesty, and guidance I needed. He made me feel smart, safe, and calm. There is nothing Ira doesn’t know about the area, no question he cannot answer, and no introduction he cannot make for you. Kindness, sublime taste, and a great sense of humor…Ira is the best.

J. Gray

We had the most extraordinary experience with Ira and his incredible team at William Pitt/Julia B. Free SIR. We know that Ira's an extremely busy agent, but we always got the impression that we were Ira's only clients - we felt as though we were in the best of all possible (caring) hands very step of the way. Ira's exquisite taste combined with his vast knowledge of all the areas of Western Connecticut made our search extremely efficient and allowed us to pinpoint the perfect property in almost no time. Once we were in contract, Ira's network of professionals made every next step completely seamless. We could not be happier in our new home and new community and we will be forever grateful to Ira and Howard and Rebecca for their loving guidance and extreme professionalism.

Philip Rosenberg & Isaac Hurwitz

Ira and the team at Sotheby's were fantastic in helping us find the perfect house and move from visit to closing swiftly! Cannot recommend him highly enough.

Richard Feiner & Annette Stover

we have already recommended Ira to several friends considering this area

James Incognito & Denise Dickens

Ira and Steve were excellent brokers. They understood that our property was unique and Ira actually predicted "who" the buyer would be right from the start. We were able to depend on everything Steve and Ira said they would do. They were respectful, responsive and optimistic throughout the process. We were very pleased and are grateful to both of them.

Donald Billinkoff & Sharon Lewis

Ira was wonderful. Creative, resourceful, incredibly easy to work with, and ensured both buyer and seller satisfaction.

Tess Beasley & Maureen Chiquet

We have known Ira Goldspiel for 15 years. He is amazing. Attentive and kind, smart and savvy. Truly knowledgable about Litchfield County and keeps his clients best interest at heart. He is the ultimate professional, composed and responsive (in addition to being downright cool and fun to be around!) He gets the job done smoothly and swiftly without any drama. Makes a potentially stressful time easy and enjoyable. He's made our dream come true...he can do that for you too.

Barbara & Marc

Ira has been helpful and knowledgable every step of the way! He certainly knows the western CT area, and was instrumental in helping us reach the price we were aiming for. His guidance through the process of buying our first home was great, and he is always quick to respond to an e-mail or voicemail. If you need a reliable and friendly realtor who really knows his stuff, go with Ira!

CT Home Buyer

Ira was extremely helpful in finding us what we were looking for in our house and in the subsequent negotiation process. Working with Ira made the process more of a delight than a chore.
