William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty Hosts Artist Reception as Part of “Sundays at Sotheby’s” Series

Firm’s Rowayton brokerage set to display work of local photographer Lisa Laible

Rowayton, Conn. – March 23, 2016 William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm’s Rowayton brokerage will be hosting an artist reception as part of the “Sundays at Sotheby’s” series, a monthly program in which the office welcomes new local art to display in its office. The reception is typically held on the first Sunday of each month. Local photographer Lisa Laible will introduce her work on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 4-6 PM.

Lisa Laible’s work is primarily intuitively driven, enhanced by her studies in both studio art and photography, during which time she benefitted from classes at The School of Visual Art and The New School in New York, as well as the Silvermine Art Guild in New Canaan, Conn. Laible recently moved back to Fairfield County from Hong Kong, where she continued to advance her craft for over eight years. Her work blends often “gritty” urban scenes with beautifully lit details and serendipitous occurrences, as well as natural elements. Light, color and texture are all clearly evident in her award-winning photographs, which have been displayed in multiple shows over the years including exhibits at the Rowayton Art Center, Carriage Barn Arts Center and internationally.

During the April 3rd “Sundays at Sotheby’s” artist reception, the Rowayton office will showcase selections from Laible’s “Architectural Details and Detailed Architecture” collection, which includes photos influenced by her experiences in various cities and cultures. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served in a casual setting with opportunities to talk with Laible and discuss her work. All events of the evening are open to the public.

“The Rowayton brokerage is eager and ready for Lisa’s stunning work to grace its office walls,” said Darien agent Molly Crosland, who spearheads much of the brokerage’s artist series. “Her work truly captures all aspects of life, revealing the beautiful yet sometimes flawed nature of this world. I look forward to this event, and encourage all to stop by for an enjoyable afternoon of talent, fine wine and great company.”
