Experienced Westport Agent Teo Turut Joins William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty as Global Real Estate Advisor

Westport, Conn. (February 6, 2026) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that veteran real estate agent Teo Turut has joined the firm’s Westport office as a Global Real Estate Advisor. He brings with him a unique combination of international perspective, financial expertise, and more than a decade of experience in residential real estate and mortgage lending.

Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Turut has lived in the United States for more than four decades. He began his career on Wall Street, where he spent 18 years working as an IT consultant on trading systems before transitioning into the mortgage business in 2001. He remains a licensed mortgage loan officer in Connecticut, a background that continues to be a major asset to his real estate clients.

After recent affiliations with Higgins Group and Keller Williams, Turut decided to make the move to William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, drawn by the strength of the brand, its global reach, and the firm’s collaborative culture.

“William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty is a prestigious and truly international brand,” said Turut. “I have strong international connections, and this platform allows me to better serve my clients both locally and globally. The timing felt exactly right, and I’m excited to build the next chapter of my business here.”

Turut has lived in Westport with his wife and children for more than 20 years and specializes in Southern Fairfield County real estate, including Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, and Fairfield. His business is built largely on referrals and repeat clients, reflecting his personalized, relationship-driven approach. He has extensive experience working with luxury homes, including multiple transactions in the $3–$4 million range, as well as with buyers, sellers, and investors involved in renovations and rebuilds.

A key differentiator in Turut’s practice is his dual expertise in both real estate and mortgage lending.

“My strength is being able to guide clients through the entire process, from pricing and negotiations to financing strategy,” he said. “Having deep knowledge of lending, underwriting, and financing options helps my clients make stronger, more confident offers and better decisions.”
