Ours may be a global economy, but it takes a local to really know a neighborhood. Todd Gould and his forefathers have been mainstays in the Connecticut shoreline real estate market for many decades. He's lived in Madison now Guilford his entire life, and has held no other career than real estate.

It just doesn't get more local than that.

Earning his sales license in 1978 and broker license three years later, Todd took over the Gould Agency, started in 1934 by his grandfather, from his father, making substantial strides as the company's broker/manager for the next 27 years...

It just doesn't get more local than that.

Earning his sales license in 1978 and broker license three years later, Todd took over the Gould Agency, started in 1934 by his grandfather, from his father, making substantial strides as the company's broker/manager for the next 27 years.

Merging with William Pitt Sotheby's International in 2007, Todd brought with him his impeccable reputation, unparalleled knowledge, and the unrivaled customer service ethic that has always forged his success.

With years of experience have come a mouthful of designations (CRB, CRS, ABR, SRES, GRI & CDPE) and plenty of professional involvements, including Todd's past leadership roles as a director of CAR, a director of the Shoreline Association of Realtors, chairman of the Multiple Listing Service. "The more we can learn, the better we are able to serve others," says Todd, who has always believed in staying abreast of the market and advancements in his field.

Most fulfilling about his illustrious career besides his accolades and achievements has been the opportunity to help people - agents and clients alike - and to forge strong relationships both in his industry, and his community.

"I've always said, 'my business is your home.' It's my job to really explain how the real estate process works, and to educate clients so they're armed with knowledge.

I may not always tell people what they want to hear, but am always forthcoming with what they need to know so they can make the right decisions."

When it comes to the Connecticut water area, Todd is extremely well connected, and highly knowledgeable of the history, neighborhoods, properties, beach associations and other items of importance for anyone looking to buy or sell a home. While his love for the water initially inspired his interest in marine biology, his course of study at Southampton College, Todd is grateful for the real estate career path he ultimately chose and has enjoyed for so many years.

He and his wife Louise, who schooled their two now-grown daughters in the Madison School System, spend lots of time outdoors hiking, kayaking and biking when time and weather allow.

"There's so much to do in this beautiful place we live, and I'm happy to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with others."

Testimonials

Mr. Gould, Not even sure where to begin. When I first contacted you, I told you that I had heard wonderful things about you. Turns out, the "real deal" was better than the previews. You are a wonderful realtor; honest, fair, efficient, a closer - generally, a good man and a high-quality person - and a good Yankee. I've dealt with multiple realtors over the past 40 years and, bar none, you are the best. Is there any kind of testimonial I can give you that would be beneficial. I'll do whatever you need, I'm (we're) that grateful. We just returned from walking the property and going through the house and outbuildings, and we feel so blessed to be stewards of this spectacular spot. We will appreciate every minute and take good care of her. Thank you for making this happen. Thanks too for the thoughtful gifts. The binoc's are awesome and the smell of the coffee is the best. We are very appreciative. Once we move in - and that may be awhile - we'd love to have you and your bride and the Chittendens in for cocktails and dinner on the deck. Holly and I would love to count you as friends. Ditto for Annie and Paul. You done good, boy, and we are ever grateful. With warmest regards, CDK

TG!! You are over the top— beyond thoughtful and considerate and generous!! The countertop composter is PERFECT!!! We had just decided our old one was too far gone to salvage and it’s as if The Universe was listening! Thank you! As to the get-away… that’s just plain humbling! I’m not sure I’m comfortable accepting such a generous offer, but time will tell. Right now, we’re just so grateful for our crazy-wonderful enduring friendship with you guys, and for how incredibly cheerfully, sensitively and professionally you handled the whole 190 ordeal. You reeled in the absolute perfect next stewards, which made it totally painless to hand over the keys. Rest assured, yesterday’s tears were tears of joy. Truly the perfect match! THAAAAANK YOU!!!! Enjoying a beautiful sunrise over here in our nest. Pop in for a look-see any ol’ time! With love and gratitude, Annie

Todd Gould was the realtor for our recent shoreline house search, resulting in our purchase of a home. The process of the purchase was fraught with many problems from the beginning due to the uniqueness of the property, or better said, "quirkiness"-- a condo that wasn't a condo. Todd was very knowledgeable about the area and was very receptive to our needs. Since this time was very nerve wracking for us, Todd diligently worked behind the scenes to get our questions answered quickly from both the sellers' realtor, our attorney, the town of Clinton, or any appropriate business or tradesperson. We could not have been happier with his expertise and hard work and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a realtor in this area. He was a pleasure to work with. Gratefully, Jim & Sharon Hollinden
