Born and educated in Italy, Yolanda and her family took to journey to the U.S. This formative experience taught Yolanda how to adapt quickly to change, be open to new ideas, and find the best in every situation, all of which are invaluable skills. Perhaps most importantly she learned to enjoy what the world offers and to laugh – often!

Perhaps most importantly she learned to enjoy what the world offers and to laugh – often!

Yolanda began work doing data-entry at Aetna, and while there, she moved her way up to Interior Designer and Project Manager, a position she held for over 25 years. By 2003, Yolanda was ready for a new path.

Her solution? Become a Realtor – a great one. Because of Yolanda’s experience with moving and finding a new home and country, a career in real estate made perfect sense. Yolanda’s knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures involved in real estate transactions empower her to be a strong negotiator, provide constructive feedback, and ensure that her clients reach their goals. A driven person who thrives on happy clients, she is passionate about helping others.

Yolanda holds the distinction of being the past president of New Haven Middlesex Association of Realtors, past board member of National Association of Realtors and Residential Real Estate Council. She is currently a board member of the New Haven Middlesex Association of Realtors and Connecticut Association of Realtors. Yolanda is a firm believer in fostering connections with people and in giving back to one’s community. She has served on numerous boards and is currently a board member for the Essex Housing Authority and serves on several committees for Habitat for Humanity. As chairperson of the Realtor Association's Community Relations Committee, she has rallied members to donate to food drives for the Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries. She also oversees fundraising galas for the Child and Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut and participates in the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation's annual marathon – an activity that has special meaning as Yolanda herself is a breast cancer survivor. When not working with clients, Yolanda enjoys a wide variety of hobbies and spends as much time as possible in her garden, sunrise walks by the beach with her dog Bella, cooking and entertaining, reading and kicking back on the couch and spends as much time with her amazing Maltipoo, Bella.

“This is where I live, is where I work – and I want to contribute as much as I can,” she said.

Testimonial

We had a wonderful first time home buyer experience working with Yolanda Tine. Yolanda was very responsive and was present for every inspection, showing, and our closing. Yolanda worked with us to explain any questions we had even late into the evening. Our home buying experience was very unique as we began looking for homes right as the COVID-19 Global Pandemic began and a quarantine was placed on the state of CT. Even through this time, Yolanda was extremely helpful in suggesting homes, explaining the process, and followed every procedure to be safe (i.e. Masks, gloves, virtual meetings) while also being attentive. We are so happy with our new home and will definitely contact Yolanda in the future if we have any friends who are moving to the area.
