About Me About Me

Born in Hong Kong and raised in Westchester County, Chelsea Hammerschmidt developed a global perspective long before beginning her career in real estate. Following in her mother's footsteps, she launched her career in Hong Kong—one of the world's most dynamic and competitive property markets—where she quickly distinguished herself, ranking #1 in company-wide transactions in 2020 while also leading the launch of the firm's new website and marketing platform.

After five years abroad, Chelsea returned to New York and Connecticut, bringing an international approach to the communities she has always called home. Today, she represents buyers and sellers throughout Westchester County, New York and Fairfield County, Connecticut with Sotheby's International Realty, combining local expertise with a global understanding of luxury real estate. Her market knowledge and strategic approach have contributed to record-setting results, including achieving the highest sale in Pound Ridge in both 2023 and 2025.

Known for her thoughtful guidance, skilled negotiation, and data-driven approach, Chelsea helps clients navigate every stage of the buying and selling process with confidence. She combines analytical market insight with exceptional presentation and marketing, ensuring every property is positioned to achieve its highest potential. Her background in luxury real estate across three international markets gives her clients a unique advantage, whether they are relocating, investing, or purchasing their forever home.

A graduate of Santa Clara University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Photography, Chelsea has a deep appreciation for both the business and creative sides of real estate. From thoughtful staging and architectural photography to strategic pricing and branding, she believes every home has a story worth telling.

Since returning to the United States and joining Sotheby's International Realty, Chelsea has closed more than 35 transactions, represented over $30 million in sales, and was recognized among the Top 1.5% of Realtors® nationwidein the 2025 RealTrends Verified Rankings.

Beyond real estate, Chelsea is deeply committed to the communities she serves. She sits on the Board of Directors for Soul Ryeders, a Rye-based nonprofit supporting individuals and families affected by cancer, and serves on the Junior Board of POTS (Part of the Solution) in the Bronx. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, running, playing tennis, wakeboarding on Long Island Sound, and spending time with family and friends.

With a global perspective, deep local roots, and an unwavering commitment to personalized service, Chelsea is a trusted advisor for clients buying and selling exceptional homes throughout Westchester County and Fairfield County.

Chelsea was wonderful throughout the entire process. She was cordial and charming and helped us find perfect home for our family. We would definitely get in touch again if we were to move, and will refer friends and acquaintances to her if they are looking in the area. Richard Blackmore

We worked with Chelsea for nearly two years, and throughout the entire process she was exceptional. Her expertise, patience, and dedication helped us navigate a competitive market and ultimately find the perfect home. Even after closing, she continues to be an invaluable resource, always willing to help, answer questions, and provide support whenever needed. She is the best and we would recommend her over and over again! Zoe and Jordan Roth

My wife and I worked with Chelsea to sell our condo in Westchester County condo in NY. She was absolutely amazing! It was our first time selling a property and Chelsea did a wonderful job walking us through the process, making it as simple as possible, and supporting us every step of the way. Our experience is a testimony to the reputation that is behind William Pitt/Julia B. Fee Sotheby's International Realty, and we HIGHLY recommend Chelsea if any potential customers are looking to buy or sell a property. Thank you! Shannon Haviland & Shane Raymond

Chelsea is amazing. She found us a perfect off market deal and held our hand through the entire process. Thank you Chelsea! Ryan & Morgan Goodstadt
