John Burns

John Burns is a wonderful real estate agent and a thoroughly genuine and likeable person. He was enthusiastic about our property from our initial meeting and continued to pursue all avenues and options to market and show our house. Throughout the process of selling our home John was attentive to our desires and needs, consistently listening to our questions and requests in a thoughtful, considered manner. His support and assistance were invaluable at each step and “bump” in the process. He made sure every step was clearly communicated to us and provided guidance and expertise about each decision we were making. We were also particularly impressed by his offer and follow through in assisting the moving of our extra possessions to a storage unit to stage the house for optimal showing. We highly recommend John to anyone seeking to purchase or sell a property in the Berkshires! Bernard Jerome Ryan Michelle L. Ryan

We feel so lucky that the day we walked into the Sotheby’s office in Great Barrington, MA we were greeted by John! He is not only extremely knowledgeable and personable, but has infinite patience and is extremely flexible and easy to work with. He always responds, via text, email or phone quickly and knows how to keep anxious buyers and sellers feeling calm and in control. He also went out of his way several times to help us in our out-of-state transition by with questions that were not part of his responsibilities as our broker. We were surprised by the world-wide exposure our property received and enjoyed the weekly updates he sent so we could see the activity being generated. We really feel like John has become a member of our family and could not recommend him and William Pitt Sotheby’s any higher. Donna Shellhammer

John Burns was incredible to work with! Was very knowledgeable and kept everything right on track! Michael E. Tahaney

John Burns was truly a pleasure to work with! This is our fourth home sale and by far the smoothest transaction. John goes above and beyond to assist in all aspects of the transaction as well as making referrals for other related activities such as furniture sales and junk disposal. His attention to detail, responsiveness and strong communication every step of the way made for a seamless transaction with no last-minute surprises. Since we were relocating to another state and left before the closing, John took the extra initiative to ensure our home was safe and walk-through ready. He worked closely with our attorney to be sure all elements were ready for close on our behalf and stayed in touch with us through those final days up to and including closing. I highly recommend John as the BEST realtor! Linda Supranowicz

John Burns was efficient and polite. He kept us informed about everything we needed to do in a timely manner. Actually I have already referred him a client. Leslie Trachier-Daley

John was incredible to work with. Communication was prompt and clear. He was flexible about connecting with me via phone call, text, or email depending on my availability and preferences at any given time. He proactively went above and beyond to fully resolve some questions from the buyers when it would have been completely appropriate to point them in the right direction and let them do their own research. These were items tangentially related to the sale and therefore not really John’s or my responsibility, but he handled it fully to avoid even the possibility of a barrier to the sale. Above all, John was nice. He was kind and always pleasant to work with throughout the process. Such a pleasure to work with someone so competent, professional, and personable. Neal R Lee

The sale of my home in Sheffield was handled by Mr John Burns. I was very satisfied with the service. Mr. Burns was very kind and patient dealing with an old lady like me. He went out of his way to be helpful with many little things. He was always very prompt in answering phone calls and getting information back to me. I can't say enough about his good service, especially in these times of much poor service from many businesses. I hope you will put a copy of this letter in his file. Virginia Howden
