A Taste of Larchmont

Looking for a way to give back this spring? Our Larchmont brokerage has just announced that they will be hosting “A Taste of Larchmont” on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015, to benefit My Sisters’ Place, a Westchester County organization that fights domestic violence. The group’s local efforts support victims while also providing community education and working toward social change. The restaurant crawl community event will take place from 3-5:30 PM, with all raised funds being contributed to the local cause.

A number of quality Larchmont restaurants will join us in giving back by graciously offering wine, beer or soda as well as an appetizer specially prepared by the chef to each individual.  Purchase of a ticket allows participants to “sip, snack and stroll” at each of seven restaurants featured on the tasting tour, including Coriander, Encore Bistro, Polpettina, Anna-Maria’s, Sherwood’s, Apiary and Auray Gourmet and Post Wine & Spirits, where a joint offering of wine and cheese will be provided.  The Larchmont Chamber of Commerce plans to donate a trolley to take visitors around the village throughout the day, as well as provide transportation to and from the train station.

We will be selling tickets to the event for $50, and will be providing company matching.  Additional funds are set to be raised through a company-held silent auction, featuring items donated from local merchants. All money gained will go directly to My Sisters’ Place in support of its efforts to end domestic violence.

Since 1976, My Sisters’ Place has worked to end violence in intimate relationships and provide support for those affected by domestic violence and human trafficking on women, men and children throughout all of Westchester County.  With very small beginnings, the local organization is now a top resource in the area, expanding its offerings to accommodate the changing times, and providing dependable advocacy, shelter, legal services and even educational opportunities, as well as an overall guide to prevention.  Their mission is to bring each member of society together with one common cause in mind—to end domestic violence and embrace the respect, equality and peacefulness of a healthy relationship.

Tickets for the day’s event can be purchased at atasteoflarchmont.com. Buy your ticket TODAY, and help support this great local cause.

We hope to see you all there!
