Outdoor enthusiasts also find delight in the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, which is split between neighboring Northampton, as well as a rail trail bicycle path. Both are situated nearby several conservation areas owned by the local land trust.

Formerly a mill town, many of Easthampton’s old factories have a new purpose. The historic fire station has been transformed into a workshop by a local furniture maker, and other mill buildings serve as space for artists and craftspeople as well as for live performances and visual arts space.
