Residential Roundup: Fall for Foliage

By Tyler R. Morrissey

As retailers and the media gear up for the holiday season, your mind may wander to thoughts of snow covered front lawns and holiday family gatherings, but this is a reminder that fall is not over yet. According to New England Today’s live foliage map, most of the region is entering its peak season to view the vibrant orange and gold colors of autumn.  The following homes offer picturesque landscapes during fall, as well as the other three seasons we are all lucky enough to experience.

Known locally as the “pumpkin hill cottage,” this enchanting home is abundant with charm and history. Built at the turn of the century in 1900, the house includes the original post and beam ceiling in the living room with an inviting fireplace. French doors lead to the patio, yard and completely fenced-in, heated in-ground pool area. Despite being over 100 years old, the home has been meticulously maintained and renovated. All of the floors in the home have been redone and the roof of the main house, three door shed and detached garage were all renovated in 2015. The property also has a new irrigation system, which is one of the many reasons the trees and mature plantings have flourished, making for the perfect autumn setting.
