After 25 years as an executive in product development and fashion merchandising working for top brands like Calvin Klein, Levi’s and Banana Republic.  Christian joined William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty because he felt the strength of the Sotheby’s brand offers the reach for the consumer that other competitors cannot touch.  Christian is leveraging his history of connecting people with beautiful product to his passion for connecting people with beautiful homes.   Home buying is intrinsically personal and understanding the consumer is paramount in order to anticipate and react to their needs. Christian’s natural ability to listen as well as his collaborative and communicative energy are the foundation of his client relationships.  This combined with his comfort with technology will allow him to strategically use the breadth of tools in the Sotheby’s arsenal to find or sell your home.

Christian and his husband Kevin came to Woodbury as weekenders quite by chance.   While visiting friends one weekend in 2004, they became so entranced by Litchfield County they made an offer on a house that same weekend.  Having grown up in the Midwest Christian knew right away this was the place to call home and even married in Bethlehem in 2011. The sense of community and the unique attributes of the towns and villages of Litchfield County are unrivaled while remaining accessible to major cities.  The Litchfield Hills allow Christian to explore and expand his love of water and snow skiing, hiking, biking and boating.

After a seasoned search for a second home Christian gained valuable insights and knows that a full end-to-end customer approach is not only needed but necessary. Having lived in Miami, San Francisco, and New York, Christian appreciates a multitude of architectural styles. Christian loves a project that includes home buying and renovating and has successfully used his merchandising skills and keen aesthetic to complete multiple renovations including two here in Litchfield County.

Licensed in both Connecticut and New York, he looks forward to working with you.

My family and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Christian when we decided the time was right to sell our unique, circa 1900, barn style home in Washington. As this was our first experience on the selling side of the table it was important for us to not only find the best agency in Litchfield County (Sotheby's hands down), but an agent who was willing and eager to take a more hands on approach to the process. Christian quickly gained our trust, whether it be through his market intelligence or his exceptional eye for color and style, he was the person we could count on for candid feedback, suggestions and recommendations as we prepared the home for market. His collaborative and energetic personality gave us comfort and focus during remodeling. He knew it would be a few months before an official listing yet he was always fully engaged and responsive. He was keenly in-tune with the market trends and buyer profile. Whenever we hit what felt like a roadblock, he calmed our nerves and gave suggestions for amazing contractors and third parties that shared his passion and energy. Not only was Christian the consummate professional, he felt like an extension of our family. He helped us achieve our selling goals and we will forever be grateful to Christian for all the hard work and time he put in to make it happen!

We knew Christian was the realtor for us after meeting him once. However, we wanted to do our due diligence and we interviewed two other accomplished agents, checking three references on each of them. Christian remained our number one choice. Why? What did we hear? We heard that Christian had high real estate acumen, empathy for difficult family issues and an understanding of people's attachment to their homes. During the four months Christian waited for us to put our house on the market, he kept in touch with pertinent information, but never became pushy. When the day came to put it on the market he brought in a photographer who shot our home like House Beautiful. It hit the market and sold in less than 24 hours over asking. Bravo!!! He is truly a gentleman and a pleasure to work with,

I previously listed my mother's home with another agency but had a feeling things would not go well. So I called Sotheby's and as soon as I spoke with Christian, I knew I made the right choice to switch. His tone of voice and demeanor are very calming. Christian explained every step very well to me. I could trust his suggestions on staging or landscaping. He even pitched right in and helped! I did not live close to the property and many times, he would take care of contractors or meeting for me. I told him when we closed, I would actually miss him! As my husband says, he went above and beyond to seal the deal.

We called Christian and needed him to walk us through several properties quickly due to the competitive market. He rose to the occasion exceptionally and thanks to his expertise we were able to find the property of our dreams! He was professional, knowledgeable and made the transaction seamless. He comes with our highest recommendation!

Isabelle

Christian Jensen was very proactive and was able to quickly schedule times for us to see several properties we were interested in. He provided timely and thorough comps and helped us better understand the overall market in Litchfield County. He made himself fully available and remained very responsive to questions and requests throughout the entire process. Christian was very hands on and helped by going to the property when we couldn’t to facilitate the necessary inspection follow ups and remediations. He was resourceful in doing research to help answer questions about the property, the land and came forward with solutions to get through the many steps of purchasing a property. Christian is a thoughtful and detailed person to work with. He wasn’t pushy but did encourage making an offer at the appropriate time.

Johanna Jarvis

Christian was a kind, knowledgeable, and extremely effective agent for the sale of our home.
